Shelly Hackett is a passionate women's health coach originally from Ireland. With a background as a Registered Nurse, Personal Trainer, and Pilates instructor, she brings a uniquely compassionate and holistic approach to supporting women through all stages of life. Combining her medical and fitness expertise she moved into academia and works as a college-level educator for Personal Trainers in New York City. In this role, she plays an integral part in educating and qualifying trainers across the Tri-State area.
Shelly is a CPR/AED/First Aid Course Instructor for the American Red Cross, and takes great pride in empowering others with this critical skillset. Her nursing background gave her firsthand insight into just how vital these life-saving skills are, and that same insight fuels her passion for teaching them today.
Certified in both pre and postpartum care, becoming a mother herself deepened her awareness of how under-supported the “fourth trimester” can be. This inspired her to develop a Postpartum Return to Exercise Assessment, designed to help mothers safely return to movement through a whole-body, deeply supportive approach.
You will find Shelly speaking at various women's health events throughout New York and Ireland. Through her qualification from the Menopause School UK as a Functional Menstrual Health Informed Practitioner, she helps women better understand their hormones and make informed decisions about their health.
